“People’s Protection Units YPG” expelled al-Hammoudi family few days ago from Tal Abyad city in Raqqa northern countryside and confiscated all their properties under the pretext of their son involvement with Turkish-backed Euphrates Shield.
NSO reporter in Tal Abyad said YPG patrol raided al-Hammoudi family and forced them to leave Tal Abyad and confiscated all their properties which are 3 houses and 3 shops in city’s center.
Reporter added YPG accused the family’s-consist of 4 families and 15 person- son of joining Euphrates Shield’s group in Jarablus in Aleppo eastern countryside and writing anti-Self autonomous posts on Facebook.
Reporter clarified the 4 families lived in a school in Kherbet al-Riz 20km south Tal Abyad after expelling them from the city and benned them from going back until their son turns himself to YPG.
A civilian from Tal Abyad (M-M) said al-Hammoudi family is one of the oldest families in the area and they are well-respected family between Tal Abyad residents, added that what’s happened to them is systematic PYD policy to oppress the residents to force them to leave because there is no family member joined any Euphrates Shield group.
Worth to mention YPG always tried to win support from big families in Tal Abyad and its countryside but failed mostly which is why it is oppressing those families by forcibly recruiting their sons and raid their houses under the pretext of regular security checks.
